Blueprint for Water Print

In November 2006, Waterwise, working with 9 other non-governmental organisations, launched the Blueprint for Water – a ten-point plan for water by 2015, for government, regulators and the water industry. Since the launch, Blueprint for Water has issued regular progress reports, which can be found on the Blueprint for Water website.

At the Blueprint launch in the House of Commons on 28th November 2006, Environment Minister Ian Pearson said: "I welcome the Blueprint for Water as a timely, useful and comprehensive call for action. My intention is that the Government will produce a new national strategy for water in 2007, and I look forward to working closely with the Blueprint coalition and others as this develops over the coming months."

The Blueprint continues to be taken forward with government and regulators, including in the context of the new Defra Water Strategy.
